Here is a wonderful new website on 'literati' paintings, from scholar Eric Otto Wear and Chuk-Kwan Ting.
The name 'Huan Cui Tang' recalls a private garden in Anhui Province built around 1600 as an 'ideal' site for literati gatherings. A guided viewing of a handscroll depicting this garden is also on the site.
